
1. What exactly does this service provide?
The TIMM Webcasting Portal gives you the opportunity to view video presentations, which took place during the TIMM 2011 Congress in Valencia, Spain via the Internet at any time (on-demand). More specifically, you can view the video of the person presenting along with his/her PowerPoint slides via streaming. The advantage is that you can refer to this video content at any time you need, as often as you need at absolutely no cost. The objective of the service is to help spread education on Mycology.
2. That are the Technical Requirements to use this service?
- PC with Windows environment. More specifically, at least Intel Pentium III 800 MHz, AMD, MS Windows, 256 RAM or more as well as a sound card.
- Speakers or head-sets.
- ADSL Internet Connection. ATTENTION: At least 300kbps speed is required. Verify your current speed here!
- Windows Media Player.
3. How can I see the Video content?
Simply browse through the various titles of the available video presentations, either by viewing the order in which they actually took place (as per Program) or by searching. You can search the name of the speaker, the title of the presentation or the name of the session. Once you get the results, click on the presentation you wish to view it On-Demand. A new window will automatically open with the video of the speaker and the corresponding synchronized PowerPoint slides.

5. How can I find the video I am looking for ?
On the left hand side of the Webcasting Portal, you will notice a green box titled: Search Video Webcast. There are three search fields you can use: the name of the speaker, the title of the presentation and/ or the name of the session. You can search any combination using these criteria.
6. How many times can I view each presentation?
As many times as you wish. The service is absolutely free and for unlimited usage.
7. I am looking for a presentation or session and I cannot find it. Why is that?
The Free Communications and Meet the Experts sessions are not included. In addition, there are some TIMM speakers who did not wish to share their presentations On-Demand.
8. How can I view the video in larger size?
While viewing any presentation, you can click on “Swap Video & Slide” which you will find on the top left corner of the slide. Automatically, the size of the video will increase as it will swap into the size of the slide. You can click this “Swap” as often as you wish.
9. How can I see the topics of the video presentation while watching it and skip to a later stage?
By clicking on the “Topics” tab, you can see a list of all the topics. Select the topic (section) you wish to view and automatically the video and the slides will jump to that point.
10. Where can I find the details of the video presentation while watching it?
Simply click on the “Info” tab at the default webcasting window, and you will see all the details regarding the speaker and the presentation running.
11. How can I view the video of the presentation running in Full Screen mode?
On top of the Video Window, there is a Full Screen link. Simply click on "Zoom Video". To return to the synchronized template window, double click.
12. Can I view all the slides together?
Yes you can, by clicking on "Thumbnails" at the default webcasting window and all the slides will appear in thumbnails mode (like in PowerPoint). You may click on a specific thumbnail to go to the desired part of the presentation.
13. Can I zoom the current slide to see it better?
You can press on “Ζoom Slide” which is located near the slide at the default webcasting window. This way the slide will appear in Full Screen mode. To return back, press ESC or double click.
14. Can I download the slides on my computer?
No, the slides are only available for viewing along with the video of the speaker.
